Artist Gaze - Chad Glashoff
Picasso in Sculpture
Slice and Dice
This is Chad Glashoff's art, not to be confused with Phillip Glashoff. I will gaze upon Phillip in the future. Chad is the son of Phillip, who is a well-known Californian sculptor. Chad aspires to develop a Picasso style of sculpturing. Can you see it?

Sometimes Modern Needs Functionality
Another Mod Design
Enchord by Herman Miller ($729)
This desk by Herman Miller needs a tweak. It has a strong, simple design. Yet, offers no real usable features other than plopping your gear on it.
Who is the target market for this product? No drawers. No pull out keyboard tray. No cord plug-ins. The exposed lower surface is a dust magnet. Who needs that? And what exactly is the purpose for it? How do you obtain objects that get pushed to the rear. It is 30" deep. That narrow opening does not look like it will accomodate a half-arm to squeeze through and retrieve stuff.
All of this makes for a curious product. I will say this, Miller got it made. More than I can say for my designs.
Kaja's Design Improvements
1. Hot colors and cool faux textures.
2. Ability to slide the lower shelf out to easily reach objects in the back.

A Vibrant California Creek
California Creek by Eric W Schaap
I happened on this artist on eBay years ago. How do I know it was years ago? It was during the time I was actively bidding on a Sony MiniDisc player for a sound design project. That was a rare time for me and eBay. I had never been on eBay so much before or since that time.
Here are close-ups of Schaap's painterly technique.
