Vintage to Modern Wine Cellars

Pardon me. Would you have a Wine Cellar?

The wine cellar is a sign of luxury. Most homes don't have them. Most of homes are challenged with having enough closet space and/or storage.

Wine cellars tend to be standard in luxury homes. Today, they have become increasingly popular in McMansions.

Here's a short visual sampling of designs. Styles get refreshed. Why not the wine cellar?

Historic Wine Cellar - Ristorante Zaira in Tuscany, Italy

Classic Design with a Contemporary Flair

This cellar is gorgeously expensive. The details are fabulous starting with that grand ceiling. If budget was no object, I would build this and annex a theater room. Come on... can't you see that?

Clearly this owner is another connoisseur.

Contemporary Cellar and creative use of space

If you really want a wine cellar, chances are you have unused or ill-used space in your home you may reclaim. This owner went under the stairs to create this space saving beauty.

Modern Wine Cellar

I like this cellar because it has a High End feel. Provided you have the space in your living room or family room, it can be done on a reasonable budget (i.e. cost to fully remodel a standard 5' x 8' bathroom). The largest single expense will be that custom glass door.

Modern Slim

This cellar illustrates that you can borrow space from a hallway and create a sleek design. It's a deceptively simple design - cabinets, wine racks, flooring, a modern painting, a few small recessed lights, one chair, and brown paint.

I love the simplicity and budget friendly design.

You know what else it has? Wow Factor.
